Article 18:

Aucun commerçant ne peut recevoir une autorisation d'importation ou d'exportation relative aux matériels des quatre premières catégories s'il n'est déjà titulaire de l'autorisation prévue au III de l'article L. 2332-1¹ du code de la défense.

Les personnes non titulaires de cette autorisation qui, à titre exceptionnel, demanderaient l'autorisation d'importer ou d'exporter des matériels des quatre premières catégories doivent indiquer avec précision dans leur demande d'autorisation d'importation ou d'exportation l'usage auquel elles destinent le matériel à importer ou à exporter.

Title III: Common Provisions on Import and Export Authorisations

Article 18:

Modified by the Order of August 24, 2009 - Art. 1

No dealer may receive an import or export authorisation related to weapons of the first four categories if he/she is not the holder of the authorisation provided for in III of Article L. 2332-1¹ of the Defence Code.

Individuals not holding this authorisation who, exceptionally, apply for an import or export authorisation for weapons of the first four categories must clearly indicate in their application for an import or export authorisation, the use they intend for the imported or exported material.
