Article 3
Le détenteur de l'arme remet à l'armurier1 visé à l'alinéa 22 ci-dessus:
-soit son autorisation d'acquisition et de détention, s'il s'agit d'une arme classée dans les catégories A3 ou B;4
-soit son récépissé de déclaration ou d'enregistrement, s'il s'agit d'une arme classée dans la catégorie C5 ou le 1° de la catégorie D.6
L'armurier enregistre l'entrée de l'arme dans son stock sur l'un des registres prévus par les articles 837 du décret n° 2013-700 du 30 juillet 2013 modifié susvisé ou R. 313-24 du code de la sécurité intérieure, selon la catégorie de l'arme à détruire.
L'armurier remet au détenteur un reçu, signé et daté portant les nom, prénom et adresse du détenteur et les références d'identification de l'arme (catégorie, type, marque, modèle, calibre, numéro de série).
Après avoir procédé à la destruction :
-s'il s'agit d'une arme de catégorie A ou B, l'armurier mentionne les dates de remise et de destruction sur l'autorisation et il l'adresse à l'autorité préfectorale qui l'a délivrée ;
-s'il s'agit d'une arme soumise à déclaration ou enregistrement, l'armurier porte sur le récépissé les dates de remise et de destruction et il l'adresse à l'autorité préfectorale qui l'a délivrée.
L'armurier mentionne l'opération de destruction sur l'un des registres prévus par les articles 83 ou R. 313-248 du code de la sécurité intérieure, selon la catégorie de l'arme.

Order of November 15, 2000, on Modalities for Destruction by Gunsmiths of Firearms of the 1st and 4th Categories and Firearms of the 5th and 7th Categories that are Subject to Notification
Article 3
The holder of the firearm hands in [the following documents] to the gunsmith1 referred to in Article 22 above:
- his authorisation of acquisition and possession, if it concerns a firearm listed in categories A3 or B;4
- his receipt of declaration or registration, if it concerns a firearm listed in the category C5 or in 1° of category D6 that are subject to notification.
The gunsmith records the entry of the firearm in his/her stock in one of the registers referred to in Articles 837 of Decree No. 2013-700 of 30 July 2013, or R. 313-24 of the Internal Security Code, depending on the category of the firearm to destroy.
The gunsmith hands in a receipt to the holder, signed and dated, including the first and last names and address of the holder, and identification references of the firearm (category, type, brand, model, calibre, serial number).
After having conducted the destruction:
- if it concerns a firearm of categories A and B, the gunsmith writes the dates when the firearm was handed over and when it was destroyed on the authorisation, and he addresses it to the prefectural authority that issued it;
- if it concerns a firearm that is subject to notification, the gunsmith writes on the receipt the dates when the firearm was handed over and when it was destroyed, and he/she addresses it to the prefectural authority that issued it.
The gunsmith mentions the destruction operation in one of the registers referred to in Articles 83 or R. 313-248 of the Internal Security Code, depending on the category of the firearm.
