Sous-section 5: Acquisition et détention en vue d'un transfert vers un autre Etat membre
Article 89:
L'acquisition d'une arme, de munitions et de leurs éléments visés au a de l'article 811 ci-dessus par un résident d'un autre Etat membre en vue de son transfert vers son Etat de résidence peut être autorisée par le préfet du lieu d'acquisition sous condition:
- que le commerçant ait obtenu le permis et l'accord préalable mentionnés à l'article 922 ci-dessous;
- et que l'expédition soit effectuée directement par le commerçant.
Lorsqu'il procède à la vente, le commerçant est tenu de se conformer aux obligations des titulaires d'autorisation de commerce. Le permis complété des modalités d'expédition et des caractéristiques des armes, des munitions et de leurs éléments, l'autorisation de détention et l'attestation de transfert prévue à l'article 96 ci-dessous doivent être présentés auprès du service des douanes.
Celui-ci peut exiger la présentation de ces biens afin de s'assurer qu'ils correspondent au permis.
Le permis, visé par le service des douanes, accompagne les matériels jusqu'à destination; il doit être présenté ainsi que les biens transférés à toute réquisition des autorités habilitées.

Sub-section 5: Purchase and Possession With a View To Its Transfer to Another Member State
Article 89:
The purchase of a firearm, ammunition and components referred to in Article 811 above by a resident of another Member State with a view to its transfer to his/her State of residence may be authorised by the Prefect of the place of purchase, on condition:
- That the dealer has obtained the licence and the prior authorisation mentioned in Article 922 below;
- And that the transfer [consignment] is made directly by the dealer.
When proceeding to the sale, the dealer must comply with the obligations of holders of an authorisation to trade. The licence completed with the requirements for the consignment and the characteristics of the firearms, ammunition and their components, the authorisation to possess and the transfer attestation, provided for in Article 96 below, must be presented to the Customs services.
The latter may ask for the production of these goods to ensure that they correspond to the licence.
The licence, signed by the Customs service, follows the equipments to their destination; it must be presented, as well as the transferred goods, whenever requested by the competent authorities.
