Describa las leyes, normativas y procedimientos administrativos nacionales empleados por su país para garantizar un control efectivo de la exportación y el tránsito de armas pequeñas y ligeras. ¿De qué forma se aplican estas medidas?

Con los procedimientos administrativos descritos precedentemente, es necesario resaitar que existe en el Uruguay una repartición que es el Registro Nacional de Armas que centraliza el control de todas las operaciones de importación, tránsito y exportación de armas pequeñas y ligeras. Esta repartición funciona dentro del Servicio de Material y Armamento, del Ejercito Nacional, pero con alcance nacional. El Registro Nacional de Armas tiene como misión:

1. Tomar a su cargo el control y registro de las importaciones, exportaciones, comercialización, fabricación y posesión de las armas de fuego u otras que se determinen, asi como sus municiones, acorde a las Leyes, Decretos y Reglamentos
vigentes, cualquiera sea su tenedor, en todo el territorio de la República.
Como función:
2. El control y registro de armas, municiones, de uso y comercialización civil.
3. Controlar, registrar y expedir Guias de posesión para armas de fuego.
4. Llevar registros de personas públicas o privadas que importen, fabriquen, comercialicen, reparen o participen en el comercio de armas de fuego de uso y comercialización civil, sus partes, componentes y municiones,
5. La recepción, depósito, entrega y disposición de las armas y municiones remitidas por la Justicia.

3. Monitor, record and issue guides for firearms possession.
4. Keep records of public or private persons who import, manufacture, market, repair or participate in the trade of firearms in civilian use and marketing, parts and components and ammunition,
5. The reception, storage, delivery and disposal of arms and ammunition sent from the Justice sector.
