- The destruction of weapons is done publicly, with different national authorities invited, as well as all national and international media including television, spoken and written, in order to provide the widest distribution and coverage. Regardless of these procedures, the country is part of the Working Group on Firearms and Ammunition of MERCOSUR and the Associated States, providing all the information on this aspect in that group as well as in various international meetings on the subject.
