…la República Dominicana ha participado en varias reuniones técnicas para la Lucha contra el Narcotráfico y Delitos Conexos en Centroamérica, México, Venezuela, Colombia, Estados Unidos de Norteamérica y Naciones del Caribe, para acordar estrategias en materia antidrogas y mecanismos que permitan en las regiones, mediante información de inteligencia, para mayor efectividad en la interceptación de embarques del narcotráfico.

La República Dominicana, en el año 2007, en la ciudad de Santo Domingo, se realizó la primera cumbre regional sobre Drogas, en el mismo tenor, en marzo del 2006, se llevó a cabo una reunión regional sobre Crimen Trasnacional Organizado, con países del área del Caribe.

Con el objetivo de combatir el micrográfico de drogas y por disposición de Señor Presidente de la República, fue creada la Mesa Interinstitucional de Narcóticos, integrada por la Secretaría de Estado de Interior y Policía (SEIP), la Procuraduría General de la República, el Consejo Nacional de Drogas, la Dirección Nacional de Drogas (DNCD), Policía Nacional y el Departamento Nacional de Investigaciones.

Drug Trafficking, Transnational Organised Crime and Terrorism

The Dominican Republic has participated in several workshops to Fight Drug Trafficking and related crimes in Central America, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, the United States and the Caribbean nations, to agree on anti-drug strategies in the regions for greater effectiveness in intercepting drug shipments.

In 2007, Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, held the first summit on Drugs. In the same vein, in March 2006, regional meeting was held on Transnational Organised Crime, with nations from the Caribbean.

By order of the President of the Dominican Republic, the Interagency Narcotics Bureau, consisting of the Ministry of the Interior and Police (SEIP), the Attorney General's Office, the National Council on Drugs, National Drug Directorate (DNCD), the National Police and National Investigation Department, was created in order to combat the micrographics of drugs.
