Campagnes de sensibilisation et lumière sur la promotion de la culture de la paix

Au nombre des activités prioritaires de la Commission Nationale de Lutte Centre la Prolifération des Armes Légères du Benin, figurent les campagnes de sensibilisation à l'endroit de toutes les couches de la population, notamment les personnels des Forces de sécurité publique, la presse publique et privée et les Organisations Non Gouvernementales (ONG) sur le danger que représente la circulation des armes légères.

Au titre de l'année 2009, Ia CNLCPAL a amorcé, comme mentionne plus haut, une caravane de sensibilisation, de collecte et de destruction d'armes, l'organisation des séminaires de formation au profit des forces de sécurité et auxiliaires de justice, la création d'un site web pour la diffusion des spots audiovisuels sur les dangers de la prolifération des armes légères ainsi que l'élaboration de bulletins d'information et, ce, en collaboration avec les ONG nationales.

In 2009, the CNLCPAL started an awareness caravan for the collection and destruction of firearms, the organisation of training workshops for the security forces and judicial officers, the creation of a website to air videos on the danger of the proliferation of small arms and the elaboration of newsletters, all in collaboration with national NGOs.
