Artículo 7. Clasificación
Para los efectos del presente Decreto, las armas de fuego se clasifican en:

a) Armas de guerra o de uso privativo de la Fuerza Pública;1
b) Armas de uso restringido;2
c) Armas de uso civil.

Artículo 10. Armas de Uso Civil
Son aquellas, que con permiso de autoridad competente, pueden tener o portar los particulares, y se clasifican en:

a) Armas de defensa personal;3
b) Armas deportivas;
c) Armas de colección.

Civilian arms are those that, with a licence granted by the competent authority, individuals may possess or carry, and are classified as:

a) Self defence arms;3
b) Sporting arms;
c) Firearm collections.
