Out of the 847 prisoners in the Dar-Naim prison in Nouakchott, only 46 committed offences involving the use of firearms: 3 were imprisoned for arms trafficking, 2 for homicide, and 41 for using or threatening to use arms. These figures include individuals arrested in April 2008 for terrorism.
