18. Arms and Ammunition in Transit

Notwithstanding any provisions of this Ordinance, the Chief of Police may, at his discretion, grant with or without conditions, refuse, suspend or revoke transit licences covering the importation into, removal within, transportation across, and exportation from Tuvalu of any arm or ammunition in transit through Tuvalu to any place outside Tuvalu, and the importation, exportation, removal, transportation and possession of any such arm or ammunition under and in accordance with the permission of any such transit licence shall be lawful and shall not constitute an offence under this Ordinance.
