Article 30: Transit of Arms Through the Territory of the Republic of Rwanda

Transit of arms, ammunition and other related materials through the territory of the Republic of Rwanda shall be subject to presentation of a certificate issued by the recipient State certifying that such items are meant for its government or for the persons whose names are specified in the certificate.

The Minister in charge of the National Police, upon request by the Commissioner General of the National Police, may temporarily refuse to allow the transit of such arms, ammunition and other related materials in case he/she notices that they may pose a security threat in Rwanda.

[Note: This article shall be read along with the articles 501 and 532 of this Law.]
