Classification of Lawful Users

The concept of lawful user is the fundamental concept in Argentina's current arms control regime. Indeed, natural or legal persons wishing to perform any action using weapons, ammunition or any controlled material … must have been granted lawful user status by the National Arms Registry (RENAR).

The actions envisaged include the manufacture, sale, transfer, use, possession, import and export of such items.
