Les autorisations d'importation ou d'achat d'armes et de munitions et le permis de port d'arme sont délivrés par les autorités ci-après:
- pour les armes blanches: par le Représentant de l'Etat dans le Cercle de résidence du requérant ou dans le District de Bamako;
- pour les armes à feu de 2ème catégorie1: par les Gouverneurs de région;
- pour les armes à feu de 3ème et 4ème catégories1: par le Ministre chargé de la Sécurité Intérieure;
- pour les munitions d'armes de 2ème et 3ème catégories1: par le Représentant de l'Etat dans le Cercle de résidence du requérant ou dans le District de Bamako;
- pour les munitions d'armes de 4ème catégorie1: par le Ministre chargé de la Sécurité Intérieure.

Article 25:
The authorisations to import or purchase firearms and ammunition and the permit to carry firearms are issued by the following authorities:
- regarding weapons with a blade: by the State Representative of the place of residence of the applicant or in the District of Bamako;
- regarding firearms of the 2nd category1: by the Governors of region;
- regarding firearms of the 3rd and 4th categories1: by the Minister in charge of Internal Security;
- regarding ammunition for firearms of the 2nd and 3rd categories1: by the State Representative of the place of residence of the applicant or in the District of Bamako;
- regarding ammunition for firearms of the 4th category1: by the Minister in charge of Internal Security.
