Todas las armas que se posean en el domicilio, en la cantidad y características permitidas por ley, para seguridad y legítima defensa de sus moradores, deberán inscribirse en el Departamento, y, cumplir todos los requisitos necesarios para su inscripción. Asimismo sus poseedores deberán demostrar el conocimiento de las reglas de seguridad y manejo apropiado del arma, ante el Departamento por medio de un examen teórico práctico.

Article 22. Obligation to Register

All firearms kept at home, in the amount and types legally permitted, intended for the security and legitimate defence of its residents must be registered at the Arms and Explosives Control Department, and it is necessary to fulfill all the registration requirements. Additionally, gun owners must demonstrate to the Department by means of a theoretical and practical test that they know the safety rules and how to handle the arm properly.
