Artículo 11. Armas de Fuego Deportivas

Son armas de fuego deportivas, aquellas que han sido diseñadas para la práctica de deportes tanto de competencia como de cacería, y que están reconocidas y reguladas internacionalmente. Son permitidas para hacer deporte, siempre que se cumplan con los requisitos establecidos en la Ley.

Las armas deportivas son: armas de fuego cortas, armas de fuego largas y armas de fuego de caza.

Son armas de fuego deportivas cortas: las pistolas y revólveres utilizados en eventos internacionales, olímpicos …

Son armas de fuego deportivas largas: los rifles, carabinas y escopetas con largo de cañón de hasta treinta y seis (36) pulgadas, utilizadas en eventos internacionales, olímpicos …

Son armas de fuego deportivas de caza: revólveres, pistolas, rifles, carabinas, escopetas con largo de cañón de hasta treinta y seis (36) pulgadas y aquellas cuyas características, alcance y/o poder hayan sido diseñadas para tal propósito.

Se entiende por carabina deportiva o de caza, aquellas cuyo funcionamiento sea mecánico o semiautomático.

Quedan exceptuados … las armas portátiles de avancarga.

Article 11. Sporting Firearms
