Artículo 88. Tenencia y Portación de Armas Permitidas

Se le impondrá pena de uno a tres meses de prestación de trabajo de utilidad pública, en favor de establecimientos de bien público o utilidad comunitaria, bajo el control de sus autoridades, a quien tenga en su poder armas permitidas por la presente ley y que no se encuentren inscritas en el Departamento.

Se le impondrá pena de prisión de seis meses a tres años, a quien porte armas permitidas por esta ley y no cuente con el respectivo permiso.

A quien porte armas permitidas por la presente ley y, habiendo contado con el respectivo permiso en el periodo anterior, no lo haya renovado dentro de los nueve meses posteriores al vencimiento, se le impondrá de uno a tres meses de prestación de trabajo de utilidad pública, en favor de establecimientos de bien público o utilidad comunitaria, bajo control de sus autoridades.

Article 88. Possession and Carrying of Permitted Firearms

A penalty of one to three months of community work at public or community institutions, under the control of its authorities, will be imposed to persons who posses firearms authorised by this Law which are not registered in the Arms and Explosives Control Department.

A prison sentence of six months to three years will be given to those that carry firearms authorised by this Law without having the relevant permit.

Those that carry firearms authorised by this Law and that in the previous period had held the relevant permit but have failed to renew it within the nine months after its due date, will be imposed a penalty of one to three months of community work at public or community institutions, under the control of its authorities.
