ArtÃculo 44. Permiso para Importar Tiros
Cualquier poseedor de armas inscritas podrá solicitar, al Departamento, permiso para importar hasta quinientos tiros al año.
La solicitud se formulará en papel con reintegro de cien colones, con un timbre policial de quinientos colones y se presentará personalmente o autenticada por un abogado.
No existirá restricción para importar tiros de ignición anular, de escopeta o de cualquier calibre de arma permitida, utilizada por los deportistas, para cacerÃa, ni de componente de recarga para practicar algún deporte.
Asimismo, si el arma tiene la identificación numérica borrada o alterada, el solicitante debe indicar las razones que justifican tal irregularidad. El Departamento le imprimirá la numeración correspondiente.

Additionally, if the firearm's identification number is deleted or altered, the applicant must explain why this occurred. The Department will mark the corresponding number.
