Artículo 7. Personas Inhibidas para Portar Armas

No podrán portar armas de ninguna clase las siguientes personas:

a) Los reos que se encuentren cumpliendo su condena en cualquier cárcel del país, sea un centro abierto o cerrado.
b) Los menores de dieciocho años, salvo los casos señalados en el artículo 641 de la presente ley.
c) Quienes tengan un impedimento físico o mental para el manejo de las armas.
d) Quienes hayan sido condenados por un delito cometido con el empleo de armas y exista una resolución de autoridad competente que los inhabilite para portar armas.

Article 7. People Who Cannot Carry Arms

The following persons cannot carry any kind of arms:

a) Inmates who are serving time in any prison in the country, whether it is an open or closed centre.
b) Persons under eighteen years, except in the cases specified in the Article 641 of this Law.
c) Persons who have a physical or mental impairment for the handling of arms.
d) Those who have been convicted of a crime committed with arms and who have been declared unfit to carry arms by a competent authority.
