Artículo 78. Portación de Armas de Fuego por Miembros de las Fuerzas de Seguridad y Orden Público del Estado

Los miembros de las fuerzas de seguridad y orden público del Estado pueden portar armas de fuego en todo el territorio nacional, cuando se encuentren de servicio o en funciones de su misión, con las limitaciones expresamente limitadas en la presente Ley.

Todos los miembros de las fuerzas de seguridad y orden público del Estado de Guatemala deberán tener registradas las armas de su propiedad, de uso civil o deportivo que les pertenezcan.

Article 78. Carrying of Firearms by the State Security Forces

Members of the State security forces may carry firearms in all the national territory when they are on duty or fulfilling their mission, except in the cases described in this Law.

All members of the State security forces must register their own civilian or sport firearms.
