Artículo 75. Evaluaciones

Las licencias de portación de arma de fuego serán extendidas por la DIGECAM, cuando el solicitante demuestre que posee la aptitud para el manejo y conocimiento de las armas de fuego, de tal forma que la portación del arma de fuego no represente un riesgo para él mismo, su familia y la sociedad.

Para el efecto, será necesario que el solicitante apruebe las evaluaciones que la DIGECAM establecerá en el reglamento correspondiente, debiendo incluir medidas de seguridad para el manejo de armas de fuego, conocimientos generales de la presente Ley, evaluaciones técnicas y evaluaciones psicológicas. La no aprobación de las evaluaciones tiene por efecto la denegatoria de la licencia de portación.

Article 75. Evaluations

The licence to carry firearms shall be issued by the Office for Arms and Ammunition Control when the applicant demonstrates that he has the knowledge and abilities to handle firearms, so that the carrying of a firearm does not represent a risk to himself, his family and society.

For this purpose, the applicant will need to approve the assessments that the Office for Arms and Ammunition Control will include in the corresponding regulations. The assessment must include security measures for handling firearms, general knowledge of this Law, technical and psychological evaluations. If the tests are not approved, the firearm carrying license will be refused.
