Artículo 32. Importación de Armas y Municiones

Las personas individuales o jurídicas debidamente registradas y autorizadas por la DIGECAM, tienen el derecho de importar armas de fuego, de las clasificadas en esta Ley como armas de fuego de uso civil y armas deportivas y municiones, ya sea que la finalidad de la importación sea la venta al público en establecimientos autorizados para el efecto, o bien la utilización para fines personales de seguridad y recreación.

Artículo 33. Importación de Armas y Municiones para Casos de Excepción.

Las personas individuales o jurídicas que deseen importar armas de fuego y sus municiones de las contempladas como de uso y manejo individual con mecanismo de disparo automático o semiautomático: fusiles militares de asalto táctico, ametralladoras, subametralladoras, carabinas, pistolas automáticas, rifles automáticos, deben hacerlo por medio de un establecimiento debidamente autorizado para vender armas de fuego. El establecimiento deberá hacer la solicitud de importación, llenando los requisitos que para tal efecto establece la presente Ley.

Article 32. Firearm and Ammunition Imports

Individuals or legal entities that are registered and authorised by the Office for Arms and Ammunition Control have the right to import firearms and ammunition which have been classified by this Law for civilian and sport use, whether to sell them in authorised shops or to use them for personal security or leisure.

Article 33. Firearm and Ammunition Imports - Exceptional Cases

Individuals or legal entities that wish to import firearms and ammunitions classified for individual use with automatic or semi-automatic firing mechanism: military assault rifles, machine guns, sub-machine guns, carbines, automatic pistols, automatic rifles, must import them through an authorised firearms dealer. The dealer must apply for an import permit and fulfill the requirements mentioned in this Law.
