(14) Les programmes de sensibilisation de la population ont été conduits par la Commission en charge du désarmement de la population civile avec l'appui du PNUD et des organisations de la société civile en direction des groupes ci-après:

− Des hauts cadres de l'Etat;
− Des forces de défense et de sécurité;
− De l'administration;
− Des journalistes;
− Des organisations de la société civile;
− Des confessions religieuses;
− De la population.

Ces campagnes de sensibilisation ont abouti à la récupération des ALPC (Armes Légères et Petits Calibres) par remise volontaire ou par des saisies opérées par les forces de l'ordre.

(14) Awareness-raising programmes for civilian were conducted by the Commission in charge of Civilian Disarmament, with support of UNDP and of civil society organizations, and were aiming at the following groups:

- Senior executives of the State;
- Defense and security forces;
- Administration;
- Journalists;
- Civil society organizations;
- Religious denominations;
- Population.

These awareness-raising campaigns have resulted in the recovery of SALW (Small Arms and Light Weapons) by voluntary surrender or by law enforcement seizures.
