(12) Concerning marking of SALW (Small Arms and Light Weapons), the CDCPA (Commission for Civilian Disarmament and Combating the Proliferation of SALW) just purchased two machines for SALW marking, this action being in the framework of the regional process led by the Nairobi RECSA (Regional Center on Small Arms). After training provided to 20 officers of the PNB (National Police of Bujumbura) and the FDN (National Defense Force), each body will be provided with complete equipment for SALW marking. The marking process will start soon, given that additional training has been provided with support of RECSA.
