Collection and Destruction

On 2 December, 9,487 weapons were destroyed in Sogamoso, Colombia.

Most of the weapons destroyed during the event were surplus from different sections of the armed forces, while over 250 had been surrendered voluntarily by members of the public as part of a disarmament campaign across the district of Bogota.

The destruction was supervised by the Ministry of National Defense Department for the Control of Trade in Arms, Munitions and Explosives.
