A2. Zambia has been working with African Union Members States on the question of SALW and the problems the illicit trade, transfer and misuse cause the continent in on-going conflicts across the continent.

Zambia is currently the Chair of the Conference on the Great Lakes Region and has been addressing the issues in the UNPoA with Member States and regular reporting to the AU.

Zambia also made regular contributions to the Group of Governmental Experts on the ATT and attended the Nairobi Africa-wide meeting on this matter.

A2. OSCE standards are routinely taken into account when procedures are revised; and lessons from OSCE best practices are drawn on in the continuous application of existing standards and procedures.
