31. Acquisition of class C firearms
The following requirements are prescribed for the purposes of section 15A(3)(d) of the Act:
(a) in relation to the acquisition of class C firearms for the purpose of collection and display —
(i) the Registrar is satisfied that the applicant for the permit to acquire the class C firearm has, or genuinely intends to acquire, a collection of firearms that has, or will have, significant commemorative, historical, investment or other value; and
(ii) the firearm is to be acquired to form part of the collection;
(b) in relation to the acquisition of class C firearms by the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia Incorporated —
(i) the applicant for the permit to acquire the class C firearm is the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia Incorporated; and
(ii) the Registrar is satisfied that the Society needs the firearm for the operation of its zoos.
