Serbia (28) accounted for 41.8% of all reported firearm-related suicides. Bosnia and Herzegovina came in second with 19 (28.3%) suicides. Fewer than ten suicides were documented in the other jurisdictions, while none were reported in North Macedonia.

A stark gender discrepancy in suicide rates between men and women was evident across jurisdictions. In 2020, men were far more likely than women to die by firearm-related suicide, with 66 men (98.5%) compared to one woman (1.5%).
