Artigo 18.º Validade das licenças

1. As licenças de uso e porte ou de detenção de armas regulamentadas são emitidas por um período de cinco anos, podendo ser renovadas, a pedido do interessado, por iguais períodos.

2. As licenças podem ser canceladas a todo o tempo pelo Director Nacional da Polícia Nacional, com base na alteração substancial das condições que sustentaram o respectivo deferimento.

3. Para efeitos do disposto no número anterior, as estruturas policiais devem comunicar ao Director Nacional da Policia Nacional (DNPN) quaisquer factos de que tenham notícia, susceptíveis de alterar substancialmente as condições que sustentaram o deferimento da licença

Article 18: License Validity

1. Licenses for the use and possession or possession of regulated weapons are issued for a period of five years, which may be renewed in additional 5-year increments at the request of the interested party.

2. Licenses can be cancelled at any time by the National Director of the National Police, based on the substantial change in the conditions that underpinned the initial granting of the license.

3. For the purposes of the above provision, the police structures must communicate to the National Director of the National Police (DNPN) any facts of which they are aware that are likely to substantially alter the conditions that supported the granting of the license
