Art. 39. Authorization to introduce into Swiss territory in a non-professional capacity. (art. 25, para. 1, Law on Arms)
1 The request for an authorization to introduce into Swiss territory, in a non-professional capacity, arms, essential components of arms, ammunitions or components of ammunitions must be sent to the OCA using the form designed for this purpose together with the following documents:
a. a copy of the authorization issued by the competent Cantonal authority if the device to be introduced into Swiss territory is subject to the authorization procedure;
b. an extract of the Swiss criminal records drawn up no more than three months before the filing of the request, if it concerns arms as referred to in art. 10, para. 1, LArm;
c. a copy of a currently valid passport or identity card;
d. an official attestation as defined under art. 9a LArm.
2 The authorization allows the simultaneous introduction into Swiss territory of a maximum of three arms or essential components of arms. It is valid for six months and can be extended by a maximum of three months.
