Data compiled by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine (PGO) reveals that seizure rates for ammunition, including light weapons ammunition, increased dramatically in 2014 and have remained consistently high. The number of seized grenades jumped more than ten-fold between 2013 and 2014, and increased steadily until 2016.

Since then, seizure rates have declined slightly but are still much higher than before the war. The quantity of seized cartridges has decreased only modestly in recent years, and seizures of landmines nearly doubled from 2018 to 2019.
