Euroopan ampuma-asepassin haltija saa siirtää ja tuoda Suomeen mainittuun passiin merkityn ampuma-urheilussa käytettäväksi soveltuvan ja asedirektiivin liitteessä I tarkoitettuun A6-, A7-, B- tai C-luokkaan kuuluvan sekä metsästyksessä käytettäväksi soveltuvan ja mainitussa liitteessä tarkoitettuun C-luokkaan kuuluvan ampuma-aseen ja aseen osan sekä tarpeellisen määrän aseessa käytettäviksi soveltuvia patruunoita. Edellytyksenä on lisäksi, että passin haltijalla on hallussaan kirjallinen kutsu tai muu luotettava selvitys, josta ilmenee, että siirto tai tuonti on tarpeellinen ampumaurheilu- tai metsästystapahtumaan osallistumiseksi. Ampuma-asepassin haltija saa myös pitää hallussaan ampuma-asetta, aseen osaa ja patruunoita niin kauan kuin se on välttämätöntä ampumaurheilu- tai metsästystapahtumaan osallistumiseksi. Euroopan ampuma-asepassi on pidettävä mukana ampuma-asetta, aseen osaa tai patruunoita kannettaessa ja kuljetettaessa.

75 § (29.6.2001/601) Transfer and import to Finland and possession under the European firearms pass

The holder of a European firearms pass may transfer and import into Finland a firearm and parts of a firearm marked on the pass as suitable for use in sport shooting and falling within categories A6, A7, B or C as referred to in Annex I to the Weapons Directive and suitable for use in hunting and falling within category C as referred to in that Annex, together with the necessary number of cartridges suitable for use in the firearm. In addition, the passport holder must be in possession of a written invitation or other reliable proof that the transfer or importation is necessary for participation in a shooting or hunting event. The holder of a firearms pass may also possess a firearm, parts of a firearm and ammunition for as long as is necessary to participate in a sport shooting or hunting event. (7.6.2019/724)

The European firearms pass must be carried when carrying and transporting the firearm, firearm parts or ammunition.
