43 § (7.6.2019/724) Hyväksyttävät käyttötarkoitukset

Aselupa voidaan antaa seuraaviin käyttötarkoituksiin:

1) metsästyslainsäädännön mukaan sallittu eläinten ampuminen;

2) ampumaurheilu ja -harrastus;

3) työ, jossa ase on välttämätön;

4) näytös, kuvaus tai muu vastaava esitys;

5) asekeräilijän ampuma-aseiden tai aseen osien keräilysuunnitelman mukainen kerääminen ja säilyttäminen;

6) muistoesineenä säilyttäminen;

7) merkinanto;

8) luvanhaltijan huollettavana olevan 15 vuotta mutta ei 18 vuotta täyttäneen henkilön hallussapidettäväksi tarkoitetun haulikon, kiväärin, pienoiskiväärin tai yhdistelmäaseen säilyttäminen ja kuljettaminen;

9) vapaaehtoisesta maanpuolustuksesta annetun lain (556/2007) 2 §:n 2 momentissa tarkoitettuna sotilaallisia valmiuksia palvelevana koulutuksena annettavan ampumakoulutuksen järjestäminen tai siihen osallistuminen tämän lain 9 §:n 5 kohdan b alakohdassa tarkoitetuilla ampuma-aseilla tai aseen osilla.

Muistoesineenä säilyttämiseksi lupa voidaan antaa muun kuin erityisen vaarallisen ampuma-aseen tai sen osan hankkimiseen yksittäisessä tapauksessa, jos hakija osoittaa ampuma-aseella tai aseen osalla olevan hänelle erityistä historiallista tai muuta muistoarvoa. Tällöin aselupaan voidaan asettaa ehto, jonka mukaan ampuma-aseella ei saa ampua.

43 § (7.6.2019/724) Authorised uses

A firearms licence may be issued for the following uses:

1) shooting of animals permitted under hunting legislation;

2) shooting sports and hobbies;

3) work for which a weapon is indispensable;

4) exhibition, filming or other similar performance;

5) the collection and storage of firearms or firearm parts by a firearms collector in accordance with a collection plan;

6) keeping as a souvenir;

7) marking;

8) the keeping and carrying of a shotgun, rifle, small arms or composite weapon intended for possession by a person under the age of 15 but not under the age of 18 who is a dependent of the holder of the licence;

9) organising or participating in firearms training as training for military preparedness within the meaning of Section 2(2) of the Act on Voluntary National Defence (556/2007) with firearms or parts of firearms within the meaning of Section 9(5)(b) of this Act.

In order to preserve a firearm or part of a firearm as a souvenir, a permit may be granted for the acquisition of a firearm or part of a firearm other than a particularly dangerous firearm in an individual case if the applicant demonstrates that the firearm or part of a firearm has special historical or other commemorative value for him. In such cases, the firearms licence may be subject to a condition that the firearm may not be fired.
