4/H. §7
(1) A lőfegyver, illetve a lőszer - miniszteri rendeletben meghatározottak szerint - a rendőrség erről szóló döntése alapján semmisíthető meg, kizárólag abban az esetben, ha
a) a megsemmisítéshez a tulajdonos hozzájárult,
b) a tulajdonos ismeretlen, és kilétének a megállapítására a továbbiakban sincs kilátás, vagy
c) a megsemmisítést jogszabály kötelezővé, illetve lehetővé teszi.
(2) Jogszabály az (1) bekezdésben meghatározott körbe tartozó adatoknak a lőfegyverek központi nyilvántartásába elektronikus úton történő továbbítását kötelezővé teheti, illetve előírhatja, hogy a megsemmisítést kizárólag az elektronikus úton történő adattovábbításhoz meghatározott technikai feltételekkel rendelkező végezheti.

4/H. §7
(1) Firearms and ammunition, as defined in a ministerial decree may be destroyed by decision of the police, in accordance with a ministerial order, only in in the case of
(a) the destruction is subject to the consent of the owner,
(b) the owner is unknown and it is no longer possible to identify the owner there is no further prospect of identification, or
(c) destruction is required or permitted by law.
(2) Legislation shall prohibit the disclosure of data falling within the scope of paragraph (1) to the central register of firearms by electronic means or may provide that destruction is to be carried out only by electronic means. the destruction by electronic means, provided that the technical conditions for the may be carried out.
