§ 33. (1) Schusswaffen der Kategorien C sind beim Erwerb durch Menschen mit Wohnsitz im Bundesgebiet binnen sechs Wochen vom Erwerber (Registrierungspflichtigen) bei einem im Bundesgebiet niedergelassenen, dazu ermächtigten Gewerbetreibenden, der zum Handel mit nichtmilitärischen Schusswaffen berechtigt ist, registrieren zu lassen. Im Falle des Erwerbs durch eine juristische Person mit Sitz im Bundesgebiet ist die Schusswaffe auf den Namen eines waffenrechtlichen Verantwortlichen zu registrieren. Der Gewerbetreibende hat darüber eine Bestätigung (Registrierungsbestätigung) auszustellen und dem Registrierungspflichtigen zu übergeben. Die Registrierungspflicht ist erfüllt, sobald der Registrierungspflichtige die Bestätigung in Händen hat.

§ 33. (1) In the case of acquisition by persons residing in the territory of the Federal Republic of Austria, firearms of category C shall be registered within six weeks by the acquirer (registrant) with a tradesman established in the territory of the Federal Republic of Austria who is authorised to trade in non-military firearms. In the case of acquisition by a legal entity established within the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the firearm must be registered in the name of a person responsible under weapons law. The trader must issue a confirmation (registration confirmation) to this effect and hand it over to the person obliged to register. The registration obligation is fulfilled as soon as the person obliged to register has the confirmation in his or her hands.
