Gun Numbers in Mexico

Official counts of the number of guns in Mexico commonly include only those firearms registered in Federal District (Mexico City). One exception is a 2007 response to an official information request.1

As reports which estimate national firearm possession numbers are likely to be more accurate, where practicable the most recent of these totals is chosen for GunPolicy.org charts which provide cross-national comparisons.
