Over the course of 2013, more than 58,000 weapons and over 800,000 cartridges were surrendered to regional offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including 4,776 weapons and nearly 200,000 cartridges surrendered on an indemnity basis.

The regulations on the procedure for the collection of weapons are contained in Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation No. 1107 of 17 December 2012 approving the procedure for the collection of confiscated, voluntarily surrendered or recovered weapons, ammunition, cartridges for weapons, explosive devices and explosive substances…
