In 2012, criminal investigation units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Central Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other departments of the Ministry carried out 54 regional preventive operations to prevent illicit trafficking in weapons, ammunition, explosive substances and explosive devices.
