Artículo 1. Objeto

EI presente Decreto-Ley tiene como objetivo establecer las regulaciones para la fiscalización y control sobre:
a) la exportación e importación temporal y definitiva de las armas de fuego,
municiones, así como de los correspondientes accesorios, lo que
respectivamente se especifica en los artículos siguientes;
b) la tenencia, porte, uso, tránsito, comercialización, transmisión, transportación, almacenamiento, mantenimiento, reparación, medidas de seguridad, ocupación, decomiso y hallazgos, obligaciones, prohibiciones, licencias, permisos, requisitos y demás actividades relacionadas con las armas objeto de licencia o permiso, y de cuyas disposiciones son destinatarias las personas naturales y jurídicas en el territorio nacional;
e) la tenencia, porte, uso y transporte de las armas de uso limitado y;
d) las armas y municiones prohibidas.

Decree-Law No. 262 of 2008, on Arms and Ammunition

Article 1. Object

The present Decree-Law aims to establish the regulations for the supervision and control of:
a) the permanent and temporary import and export of firearms and ammunition, as well as their corresponding accessories specified in the following articles;
b) the ownership, carrying, use, transit, commerce, transfer, transport, storage, maintenance, repair, security measures, occupation, decommissioning and finding, obligations, prohibitions, licences, permits, requirements and other activities associated with arms subject to licence or permit, which are destined for natural or legal persons inside the national territory;
c) the ownership, carrying, use and transport of arms whose use will be limited; and
d) prohibited arms and ammunition.
