En el caso de la DAEX se pudo obtener que para marzo del año 2012 la cantidad de portes de armas otorgados fue de 132.043, recordando que éstos son permisados por cada arma que adquiera la persona y no por usuario solicitante; en otras palabras, un mismo usuario puede poseer varios portes para varias armas, pero no podrá poseer un mismo porte para varias armas.

Además, vale mencionar que en este registro se incluyen diversos tipos de armas: pistolas, revólveres, escopetas, carabinas, rifles y armas de aire…
