Article R. 312-52

L'acquisition et la détention par des personnes majeures des armes et leurs éléments du 2° de la catégorie D1 sont libres.

L'acquisition par des personnes majeures des armes et leurs éléments de la catégorie C2 et des armes mentionnées au 1° de la catégorie D s'effectuent dans les conditions prévues aux articles R. 312-53 à R. 312-58.3 4 5 6 7

Les armes et leurs éléments des catégories C et D peuvent être détenus par des mineurs s'ils ont plus de seize ans, y sont autorisés par la personne exerçant l'autorité parentale, sauf si celle-ci est inscrite au fichier national des interdits d'acquisition et de détention d'armes, et, hormis pour les armes des d au g du 2° de la catégorie D, sont titulaires du permis de chasser, délivré en France ou à l'étranger, ou de toute autre pièce tenant lieu de permis de chasser étranger accompagné d'un titre de validation de l'année en cours ou de l'année précédente.

Les armes et leurs éléments des catégories C et du 1° de la catégorie D peuvent être détenus par des mineurs s'ils ont plus de douze ans, y sont autorisés par la personne exerçant l'autorité parentale, sauf si celle-ci est inscrite au fichier national des interdits d'acquisition et de détention d'armes et sont titulaires d'une licence d'une fédération sportive ayant reçu, au titre de l'article L. 131-14 du code du sport, délégation du ministre chargé des sports pour la pratique du tir ou du ball-trap.

Les armes, leurs éléments, les munitions et leurs éléments des h et j du 2° de la catégorie D, à l'exception des munitions à poudre noire, peuvent être détenues par des mineurs s'ils ont plus de neuf ans, y sont autorisés par la personne exerçant l'autorité parentale, sauf si celle-ci est inscrite au fichier national des interdits d'acquisition et de détention d'armes, et sont titulaires d'une licence d'une fédération sportive ayant reçu, au titre de l'article L. 131-14 du code du sport, délégation du ministre chargé des sports pour la pratique du tir ou du ball-trap.

Les mineurs de plus de douze ans sont autorisés à utiliser les lanceurs de paintball du h du 2° de la catégorie D sur les terrains de paintball déclarés en application du code du sport.

Paragraph 1: Acquisition and Possession of Firearms

Article R. 312-52

The acquisition and possession of firearms and their components of the 2° of category D1 by adults are free.

The acquisition, by adults [18 years old], of firearms and their components of category C2 and of firearms mentioned in 1° of category D shall be carried out according to conditions provided for in Articles R. 312-53 to R. 312-58.3 4 5 6 7

Firearms and their components of categories C and D may only be owned by minors who are older than sixteen years, [if they] are authorised to do so by the person exercising parental authority, unless this person is listed in the national register of persons prohibited from acquiring and possessing firearms, and, except for firearms of d) and g) of 2° of category D, [if they] are the holders of a hunting permit, issued in France or abroad or any other document in lieu of a foreign hunting permit along with credentials of the current year or of the past year.

Firearms and their components of category C and 1° of category D may only be owned by minors who are older than twelve years, [if they] are authorised to do so by the person exercising parental authority, unless this person is listed in the national register of persons prohibited from acquiring and possessing firearms, and [if they] are the holders of a licence from a sports federation that has received, under Article L. 131-14 of the Sports Code, delegation from the Minister in charge of Sports for the practice of shooting, of ball-trap.

Firearms, their components, ammunition and their components of h) and j) of 2° of category D, except ammunition using gunpowder, may only be owned by minors who are older than nine years, [if they] are authorised to do so by the person exercising parental authority, unless this person is listed in the national register of persons prohibited from acquiring and possessing firearms, and [if they] are holders of a licence from a sports federation that has received, under Article L. 131-14 of the Sports Code, delegation from the Minister in charge of Sports for the practice of shooting, of ball-trap.

Minors of more than twelve years are authorised to use paintball launchers of h) of 2° of category D on declared paintball fields, in accordance with the Sports Code.
