Articulo 86. Inspección Física e Inventario

La Dirección de Control de Armas de Fuego, Explosivos y Materiales Relacionados de la Policía Nacional, debe efectuar una inspección física detallada de las armas de fuego y municiones importadas, previa nacionalización de las mismas y proceder a levantar el inventario respectivo.

En el supuesto de encontrar algún faltante o carga adicional conforme la autorización otorgada, el importador queda sujeto a las investigaciones para determinar responsabilidad. Las armas, municiones o sus accesorios que se encontraren fuera del inventario autorizado, podrá ser objeto de decomiso.

Toda arma de fuego, municiones y sus accesorios retenidas en las aduanas del país porque no cuentan con la autorización previa de la autoridad de aplicación para la internación al país, será objeto de decomiso.

Article 86. Physical Inspection and Inventory

The Directorate for the Control of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Related Materials of the National Police must carry out a physical inspection of the firearms and ammunition that have been imported, before nationalising the latter and must carry out their respective inventory.

In the event of finding any missing or additional cargo in accordance with the granted authorisation, the importer remains subject to investigations to determine responsibility. Firearms, ammunition or their accessories that are not included in the authorised inventory may be seized.

Any firearm, ammunition or accessory retained in the country's Customs due to the lack of prior authorisation to enter the country, from the implementing authority, shall be subject to seizure.
