Article L. 314-2-1

Toute cession entre particuliers d'une arme de catégorie C1 ou de catégorie D2 soumises à enregistrement donne lieu à l'établissement et au dépôt d'une déclaration dans les conditions définies à l'article L. 312-4-13 ou, le cas échéant, à un enregistrement, dans un délai d'un mois, auprès du représentant de l'Etat dans le département du lieu de son domicile ou, à Paris, du préfet de police.

Article L. 314-2-1

Any transfer between individuals of a firearm of category C1 or of category D2 subject to registration, must lead to a declaration under conditions defined in Article L. 312-4-13 or, if applicable, to registration, within one month, with the State representative of the department of his place of residence or, in Paris, with the Prefect of Police.
