Article 2. Basic Definitions

20. Tracing: Consists in the systematic tracing of firearms, and if possible, their parts, components and ammunition from the manufacturer to the purchaser for the purpose of helping the enforcement authority, under the Act and its regulation, to detect, investigate and analyse the illicit manufacture and trafficking [of firearms].
