Artículo 81. Registros para Más de Dos Armas

Las personas que deseen adquirir, tener o poseer más de dos armas, deberán inscribirse en alguno de los siguientes registros:

a) Coleccionistas, quienes podrán poseer la cantidad de armas permitidas que estén en condiciones de mantener bajo adecuadas medidas de seguridad, lo que será determinado por las respectivas Autoridades Fiscalizadoras. Estas armas podrán mantenerse con sus características y estado original.

b) Deportista o cazador, a quien se autoriza la inscripción de hasta seis armas para dichos fines.

c) En caso que un deportista o cazador por las disciplinas que practique, nivel de competición u otros motivos, necesite poseer una mayor cantidad de armas de fuego, o consumir una mayor cantidad de munición, deberá solicitar a través de la Autoridad Fiscalizadora a la Dirección General, la inscripción como Deportista Calificado.

Article 81. Registers for More than Two Firearms

Individuals wishing to purchase, own or possess more than two firearms must register themselves in one of the following registers:

a) Collectors may possess the permitted number of firearms so long as they maintain adequate security measures for their storage, which shall be determined by the respective Control Authorities. Such firearms may be kept in their original state and with their original features.

b) Athlete or hunter, who may be allowed to register up to six firearms for such purposes.

c) In the event that an athlete or hunter requires, for a practiced discipline, due to the competition level or for other reasons, a greater number of firearms or to consume a larger quantity of ammunition, he must request registration as a Qualified Athlete by the General Directorate, through the Control Authority.
