Artículo 91. Sanciones administrativas

Sin perjuicio de la responsabilidad penal o civil a que hubiera lugar, las infracciones previstas en este Capítulo se sancionarán así:

1. Las infracciones gravisímas, con multas de diez mil balboas (B/.10,000.00) a veinte mil balboas (B/.20,000.00).
2. Las infracciones graves, con multas de cinco mil balboas (B/.5,000.00) a diez mil balboas (B/.10,000.00).
3. Las infracciones leves, con multas de mil balboas (B/.1,000.00) a cinco mil balboas (B/.5,000.00).

Las sumas recaudadas en concepto de multas por infracciones señaladas en este artículo serán consignadas a nombre del Ministerio de Seguridad Pública para uso de la DIASP.

La DIASP destinará un porcentaje de los recursos que reciba en virtud de esta disposición a la promoción y ejecución de programas y proyectos orientados a promover la entrega voluntaria de armas de fuego no registradas, municiones y materiales relacionados.

Article 91. Administrative Penalties

Without prejudice to any criminal or civil liability, offences listed in this Chapter are punished as follows:

1. Very serious offences, [are punished] with a fine of ten thousand balboas (B/.10,000.00) to twenty thousand balboas (B/.20,000.00).
2. Serious offences, [are punished] with a fine of five thousand balboas (B/.5,000.00) to ten thousand balboas (B/.10,000.00).
3. Minor offences, [are punished] with a fine of a thousand balboas (B/.1,000.00) to five thousand balboas (B/.5,000.00).

Amounts collected in fines for offences mentioned in this article shall be recorded by the Ministry of Public Security to be used by DIASP.

DIASP shall allocate a percentage of funds received under this provision for the promotion and implementation of programmes and projects oriented to promote the voluntary surrender of firearms that are not registered, ammunition and related materials.
