Artículo 25. Banco de datos

La DIASP tomará la prueba de balística de cada arma legalmente ingresada al territorio nacional para su registro y conservará las proyectiles y los casquillos utilizados para dicha prueba. La información recabada mediante esta prueba constituirá el banco digital y fisico de pruebas de balística.

El Ministerio Público, la Policía Nacional y las autoridades competentes tendrán acceso a este banco de datos para efectos de investigación en los casos que involucren un arma de fuego.

Article 25. Data Bank

DIASP shall take the ballistic fingerprints of all firearms that legally entered the national territory for registration and [it] shall keep bullets and caps used for the test. Information gathered by this test shall constitute the digital and physical ballistic bank.

The Public Prosecutor, the National Police and competent authorities have access to this data bank for investigation purposes in cases involving a firearm.
