Artículo 74. Inscripciones Armas de Fuego

Toda arma de fuego de uso permitido, debe ser inscrita a nombre de su poseedor o tenedor, ante la Dirección General o la Autoridad Fiscalizadora; en el caso de personas jurídicas, ante la A.F. correspondiente al lugar donde se guardan las armas.

Artículo 75. Todas las armas de fuego que no se encuentren inscritas deberán someterse a control en el Banco de Pruebas de Chile o en las sucursales y delegaciones de éste en Regiones, a fin que se certifique sobre su naturaleza, calidad, condiciones de seguridad y exacta identificación. Aquellas armas que presenten anomalías o discrepancias en su funcionamiento o características, deberán ser devueltas al poseedor o tenedor para su corrección, dejándose constancia de lo obrado. Aquéllas que a raíz de este control se declaren irrecuperables y que el propietario no desee mantener en su poder, serán enviadas al Depósito General de Armas, para los fines del artículo 23 de la Ley.

Las armas que se declaren irrecuperables por el Banco de Pruebas de Chile y que el propietario desee mantener en su poder, deberán ser inscritas en el registro nacional de armas como "arma de colección".

Article 74. Firearm Registration

All permitted firearms must be registered under the name of their owner or bearer, before the General Directorate or the Control Authority; legal persons must do so before the Control Authority corresponding to the place where firearms are stored.

Article 75. All firearms that are not registered shall be submitted for control to Chile Test Bank or its regional branches or offices, in order to certify their nature, quality, security conditions and exact identification. Firearms presenting abnormalities or discrepancies in their performance or features must be returned to their owner or bearer for their repair, keeping record of what was working. Firearms which, according to this control are declared unusable and whose owner does not wish to keep under his control, shall be sent to the General Directorate Deposit in accordance with article 23 of the Act.

A firearm declared unusable by Chile Test Bank, whose owner wishes to keep it under his control shall be registered in the national register as a 'collectible firearm'.
