Autoridades Fiscalizadoras que ejercerán el Control de la ley N° 17.798:

Para efectuar la supervigilancia y control de las Armas, Explosivos, Artificios Pirotécnicos, Productos Químicos y otros elementos que la Ley entrega al Ministerio de Defensa Nacional, actuará como Autoridad Central de Coordinación a nivel nacional, la Dirección General de Movilización Nacional y en ese carácter impartirá instrucciones a las Autoridades Fiscalizadoras y asesoras, para el adecuado cumplimiento de la Ley.

Se desempeñarán como autoridades ejecutoras y contraloras de la Ley :

a) Las Comandancias de Guarnición de las Fuerzas Armadas,
b) Las Autoridades de Carabineros de Chile, de mayor jerarquía en el área jurisdiccional…

Control Authorities that shall exert control under the Act No. 17.798:

The General National Mobilization Directorate shall be in charge of [firearm and ammunition] surveillance and control, that the Act [be] entrusted to the Ministry of National Defence on firearms, explosives, pyrotechnic products, chemical products and other elements, which shall act at the national level as the Central Coordinating Authority and in that capacity give instructions on the matter to Control and Advisory Authorities, for the effective implementation of the Act.

The following shall act as enforcement and control authorities of the Act:

a) The Garrison Commanders of the Armed Forces;
