Artículo 152 bis. (Porte y tenencia de armas) El que portare o tuviere en su poder armas cuyos signos de identificación hubieren sido alterados o suprimidos, o cuyas características o munición hubieren sido alteradas, en forma circunstancial o permanente, de manera tal de aumentar significativamente su capacidad de daño será castigado con tres a dieciocho meses de prisión o multa equivalente, pena por la cual optará el Juez según las circunstancias del caso.

Penalty for Illicit Firearm Possession

Article 152 bis. (Carrying and Owning Firearms). Those who carry or own firearms whose identification marks have been altered or deleted, or whose features or ammunition have been permanently altered so as to significantly increase their lethal capacity, shall be punished with three (3) to eighteen (18) months in prison or a fine. The degree of penalty shall be decided by a Judge in accordance with the circumstances.
