MANILA -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has allocated a P5 million reward for those who will give information leading to the confiscation of unlicensed firearms.

PNP chief Director General Jesus Verzosa earlier announced the reward system in the campaign against loose firearms.

The money will come from the P25 million fund released by President Arroyo for the PNP Reward System, primarily to solve cases of violence against journalists, militant activists, elected government officials and other government workers, candidates and election workers.
